On December 22nd, amid the joyous and harmonious atmosphere blending the traditional Chinese festival of Dongzhi and the Western Christmas, the establishment ceremony of the Shenzhen MIS UK Alumni Association and the MIS UK Home took place in London. The visiting delegation led by Mr. Lü Jianjun, Chairman of the Board of Shenzhen MIS, gathered with representatives of MIS graduates who pursued further studies in the UK, including those from Shenzhen MIS and MAS Songshan Lake Academy. They shared memories, built camaraderie, and jointly established the Shenzhen MIS UK Alumni Home.

During the event, Mr. Lü Jianjun, on behalf of all the faculty and students of Shenzhen MIS, expressed gratitude to the attending alumni and congratulated the establishment of the alumni association and UK home. "I hope everyone will work together to develop this platform into a warm station serving as a haven for Shenzhen MIS 'family,' and Shenzhen MIS will provide comprehensive support for the development of the alumni association," said Mr. Lü. He emphasized the significance of the establishment of the UK Alumni Association as the first overseas alumni association of Shenzhen MIS. This establishment holds great significance for actively inheriting the spirit of MIS, which constantly pursues excellence, and rallying the strength of alumni to support the high-quality development of MIS's international education initiatives.

The first president of the alumni association is Mr. Kang Honghao, an outstanding alum from MAS Songshan Lake Academy's class of 2022, who successfully enrolled in Imperial College London. The secretary-general of the alumni association is Ms. Qiu Lijun, a founding staff member of Shenzhen MIS and former HR manager at MIS, currently serving at UCL (University College London).

The attending alumni representatives expressed their commitment to uphold the spirit of MIS, constantly pursuing excellence and embodying the school motto of “Ready Ay Ready.” They pledged to serve as role models for younger students, actively play the role of emotional ties and communication bridges, and truly build the UK Alumni Association into the "alumni home" for Shenzhen MIS in the UK. This initiative aims to serve as a support hub for MIS 'family' members studying and living in the UK while actively contributing alumni strength to construct an innovative international education ecosystem for Shenzhen MIS.

会上，吕建军先生代表深圳曼校全体师生对前来参会的校友表示感谢，并对校友会和英国之家的成立表示祝贺。“希望大家一同努力，把平台建设为服务深圳曼校‘家人’的暖心驿站，深圳曼校也将对校友会的发展提供全方位的支持。”吕建军表示，作为深圳曼校首个海外校友会，英国校友会的成立意义重大，这对积极传承“不断追求卓越”的曼校精神，凝聚各方校友力量、助力曼校国际教育事业高质量发展具有重要意义。

校友会首任会长由曼校松山湖书院2022届考入帝国理工学院的优秀校友康弘豪同学担任，校友会秘书长则由深圳曼校创校员工、原曼校HR经理，现供职于UCL（伦敦大学学院）的邱丽君老师担任。

参会的校友代表纷纷表示，深圳曼校英国校友会将不负重托，继续秉持“不断追求卓越”的曼校精神，努力践行“为未来而来”的曼校校训，为师弟师妹做好表率。积极发挥好情感纽带和沟通桥梁的作用，将英国校友会真正建设成为深圳曼校在英国的“校友之家”，服务在英国学习生活的曼校“家人”，同时为深圳曼校构建创新性国际教育生态系统积极贡献校友力量。
